Tami Gunset was a board member, Director, and coach at Guns Up Volleyball Club. She was the true embodiment of our Mission, teaching young athletes not only the game of volleyball, but also life lessons about hard work, dedication, and what it meant to be part of a team. Tami spent many years as an educator at Lubbock ISD and Lubbock-Cooper ISD where she taught, coached, and served as a principal and girls athletic coordinator. Over the years, Tami had a lasting, positive impact on countless young athletes in Lubbock and surrounding communities. Though words could never properly express our gratitude for her contributions to our club and sport, we want to say, “Thank you!” to Tami by offering an annual scholarship to our own graduating athletes in her name. We would not be the club we are today if it were not for Tami Gunset.

Scholarship applicant requirements: 
1. Played for three years as a Guns Up Volleyball Club Member in good standing with club fees/dues 
2. Must be a current Senior in High School 
3. Current High School GPA at least 87.5 average on 100 point scale 
4. Submit 3 professional Letters of Recommendation 
5. Submission of High School GPA from your school registrar’s office. 
6. All applications must be submitted to the club by May 1, 2024 by email or mail.

Guns Up Volleyball Club will award the Tami Gunset Memorial Scholarship May 5, 2024. All scholarship awards will be submitted to the College or University once you have signed your intent to attend and will be divided between the Fall and Spring Semester of your Freshman year.
