Coach Tim Ebbecke

Guns Up Volleyball Club would like to welcome Tim Ebbecke to our coaching staff. Tim comes to us from New York where he started his volleyball career as a camp counselor in New York, New Jersey, and Italy. Tim played volleyball in high school and was recruited to play at the University of Mount Olive as a 6’7” MB. During his time at Mount Olive, Tim was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), All-Conference Team, Scholar-Athlete of the Month, Top 15 Male Athlete of the Year, Conference Carolinas Male Scholar Athlete of the year (2013) and won the Carolina Conference 2 times. After college, Tim moved to Raleigh, NC and coached with NC Elite Volleyball Club with 17's and Panther Creek High School JV and Varsity girls. Tim moved to Greenville, NC in 2016 and coached with East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club with their 16’s and 17’s. In September of 2017 Tim moved to Lubbock and will be working as an Academic Advisor at Texas Tech University.

Laura Davies

The Board of Directors of Guns Up Volleyball Club would like to express our heart felt sympathy in the recent loss of former Coach and Club Director, Laura Davies.  Laura was Director from September 2012 to September 2014.  Laura was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2014 and lost her battle with cancer in July this year.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Jeramy, and their families in this time of grief.  She will be deeply missed. 

Congrats Mia Olivo

Congrats Mia Olivo

We are pleased to announce that  Mia Olivo has been   chosen for the 2017 Sun Country High Performance Volleyball Team.  This is Mia’s second time to be selected to the High Performance Team as she was also selected in 2014.  Mia is a Senior at Shallowater High School and plays with  the Guns Up Shallowater Club team.  As a high school Freshman, she received the honor of All District New Comer of the Year, and as a Sophomore and Junior she received First Team All-District honors, and offensive MVP. This past season she also received the honor of making the All-State team. Mia is currently in the top running for class rankings at Shallowater High School, and will graduate from South Plains College with her Associates Degree two weeks before she graduates from Shallowater High School in May 2018. Mia plans to attend Texas Tech as a pre med major and hopes to become an OB/GYN physician. Mia is active in her youth group at church, enjoys participating in homeless outreach ministry, volunteering in the church nursery, and spending time with her family. Mia is the oldest of 3 siblings and demonstrates amazing leadership to all who come in contact with her.   Congratulations Mia on all your accomplishments.  We look forward to seeing you in action your Senior year.  We are very proud of you! 

Congrats Bree Gamueda


Bree Gamueda

Congratulations to Bree Gamueda for being selected to the Sun Country Regional Volleyball High Performance team for 2017.  Bree will graduate from Monterey High School in May 2018. Bree  was a member of the 2017 GUVC 16 Elite team which took 3rd place in Bronze  at the SURVA BID championships this year. She is a 5'9" OH/DS. She is a phenomenal all around player and team leader with outstanding STATS. As a high school volleyball player  over the past three years she has been awarded the Newcomer of The Year, District Honorable Mention, 2nd Team All District, and 1st Team All District. She has also achieved awards in soccer and helped lead her soccer team to State playoffs this year.  Bree's talents on the court are second only to her remarkable intelligence. She carries a  4.67 GPA, is in the top 5% of her class,  is a National Honor Society Member, and is a 4.0 scholar in PLTW engineering school functions. After graduation Bree plans to continue playing volleyball while earning a degree in Psychology. Congratulations Bree for both on and off the court achievements! We look forward to seeing you in your Senior year!   We are so very proud of you!!
